KDWPT Holiday Closings
PRATT – There’s plenty to enjoy and be thankful for over the Thanksgiving Holiday, and this year, we hope the great outdoors makes your list. While most Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) offices will be closed Nov. 26-29, we hope you will take time to enjoy hiking, hunting or fishing with family at one of the many public wildlife areas and state parks that remain open during the weekend.
State park offices will be closed through the holiday weekend, but parks are still open to visitors. Parkgoers can get necessary vehicle and camping permits at the iron rangers located at park entrances.
For those looking to do some Black Friday shopping for the outdoor enthusiast in their lives, permits and other issuances are available at more than 600 license vendors across the state, and online at www.ksoutdoors.com. The KDWPT website also has just about any information you’ll need to enjoy the outdoors safely and legally.
Happy Thanksgiving from the staff at KDWPT.
