Is your mind screaming for adventure? Join a paddle group on Saturday, April 16, when a group will paddle on the Kansas River. The Little Apple Paddle starts at Junction City, and travels 10 miles to Ogden. Any and all paddlers are welcome (cost is $10/paddler). Please RSVP to Marcia Rozell (Marcia@Manhattan.org).
Some of us plan to camp out on a sandbar in Ogden. Hotel rooms are reserved in Manhattan, or people can head home if they plan to paddle for just one day. On Sunday, April 17, we will continue down the Kansas River from Ogden to Manhattan (14 miles).
We will meet at the Fairmont Boat Ramp in Manhattan on Saturday April 16 at 8:00 am. We will work out a car shuttle system so extra things can be stowed in some vehicles in Ogden. I have access to two tow racks that holds 8 vessels each so let me know if you have a trailer hitch.
Tuttle Creek State Park is willing to provide rental kayak should anyone need one. Cost is $25 for one day, $35 for both.
