The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is a cabinet-level agency with a Secretary appointed by the Governor.

SB 80 Eliminating the authority of the secretary of wildlife and parks to issue nonresident landowner deer permits.
SB 211 Modifying member appointments to the wildlife and parks commission, authorizing the commission to direct the secretary to develop or report on rules and regulations and allowing members to submit potential rules and regulations to the commission.
