Channel Catfish | Good with inflows | up to 20 inch | Creel limit 2/day Length Limit 15-inches Cut bait and nightcrawlers are producing fish this week. Fishing baits on the bottom in areas with wind have been best. Times of inflow are great for channel catfish so be sure to head out after a storm moves through! |
Largemouth Bass | Fair | 12 to 16 inch | Bass are holding close to shoreline vegetation until mid-morning when the roll out to deeper water. Early and late in the day bass can be caught spinnerbaits and plastics close to shore and in the vegetation. Through mid-day bass are holding in water 4 to 7 ft deep. Crankbaits and spinnerbaits are good lure options for covering some water and locating active fish. Most bass activity has been taking place in the main lake area. Very few bass have moved up into the creek. |
Crappie | Fair | up to 8 inch | Most of the crappie at Butler are small with very few quality sized fish. Crappie can be caught on small minnows or jigs in 4 to 8 ft of water near cover or breaks. |
