Looking for something fun to do in the outdoors? Kansas State Parks host hundreds of special events each year!  Kids events such as O.K. Kids Day, fishing derbies, and many outdoors skills clinics for kids and adults are hosted at various state parks throughout the year. Special hiking, biking and paddling events can be found to satisfy your adventurous side. Many state parks host 'First Day Hike' events on New Year's Day, and Free Vehicle Entrance Days are scheduled to celebrate National events such as 'Let's Camp America' in May, and #OPTOUTSIDE for the day after Thanksgiving. Don't forget the many competitive and just-for-fun fishing tournaments, equestrian trail rides, running events, movie nights, fireworks shows, concert events, and there is truly something for everyone!
