Cross Timbers Cabins

Cross Timbers State Park has a total of four cabins. Sandstone Bluff, Whispering Oaks and Eagle's Nest sleep eight and have a bathroom with shower, 2-burner range top, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, table and chairs, and a futon couch. Outside, they also offer a campfire ring with grill. Timber Walker sleeps six, is handicapped accessible, has all the amenities of the other cabins, with the addition of a dishwasher and an apartment sized stove. All cabins are equipped with glassware, flatware, dishware and cookware. No smoking in the cabins. The only pet-friendly cabin is Eagle's Nest. No tents are allowed in the cabin area. Capacity is limited to the number that the cabin sleeps.

    Cross Timbers State Park is now offering rustic cabin rentals. The cabins are located on the lake in the Toronto Point area and allow the visitor to enjoy the beauty of Toronto Lake and the Cross Timbers region. The cabins are located close to the beach, trails, boat docks, fishing pier, and many other amenities.

    Sandstone Bluff cabin is reservable year round. Reservations may be made up to a year in advance. Reservations are handled on a first come, first served basis. Requests are accepted by telephone, mail, e-mail, and in person. Reservations must be made at least a week in advance. A non-refundable and nontransferable reservation fee is applied to the cabin rentals.

    Cancellation or reschedule of cabin reservation 30 days or more prior to arrival date results in a refund of fees paid, except for the reservation fee. Cancellation or reschedule of cabin 29 days or less to 5 days prior to arrival date results in a refund of fees paid minus a one night rental fee and the reservation fee.Cancellation or reschedule of cabin reservation 4 days or less prior to arrival or after the arrival date will result in all fees being forfeited.

     In addition to the cabin reservation, you must have a vehicle pass. You must be 18 or older to reserve and rent the cabin. No Smoking or Pets are allowed in the cabin. This is a housekeeping cabin. Please bring your own bedding, soap, and towels.

    The cabin comes with:

    Bathroom/shower, microwave, refrigerator, 2-burner cook stove, full bed, bunk beds, 2 twin beds in loft, futon, table and chairs, AC/heat, outside hydrant, picnic table, fire ring w/grill, 16-piece dish set with silverware, glasses, toaster, coffee pot, and other limited cookware.

    Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 p.m. (noon)

    The Whispering Oaks cabin is reservable year round. It is also ADA compliant. Reservations may be made up to a year in advance.

    Reservations are handled on a first come, first served basis. In addition to making a reservation online, reservation requests are also accepted by telephone, mail, e-mail, and in person. Online reservations must be made at least three days in advance during the April-September park season. Otherwise, you must call the park offices. During the offseason (October-March), online reservations must be made at least five days in advance.

    Cancellation or reschedule of cabin reservation 30 days or more prior to arrival date results in a refund of fees paid, except for the reservation fee. Cancellation or reschedule of cabin 29 days or less to 5 days prior to arrival date results in a refund of fees paid minus a one night rental fee and the reservation fee.Cancellation or reschedule of cabin reservation 4 days or less prior to arrival or after the arrival date will result in all fees being forfeited.
