Fall River State Park News

Reservable utility campsites & cabins for the Labor Day Holiday weekend are fully booked.

The park's contractor completed the Quarry Bay Water supply in the spring, and we are now hooked up to Rural Water!  This is exciting as our well system had been down since July of 2021.  Park staff have completed new hot water tanks, replacement toilets, and other repairs to the Quarry shower building!  Water is available NOW at the hydrants throughout Quarry Bay, and the vault toilet is always open.  Quarry Bay is a great place for primitive camping with the beach and boat ramp in the area.

Fall River has cabins for rent!! They are located in the Gobbler's Knob campground within the Fredonia Bay area. Cedar Crest, Heron's Cove, and the Willow Bend cabin offer a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, a covered shelter outside, fire ring with grill, and, of course, picnic table. Cedar Crest & Heron's Cove will both sleep up to six, and Willow Bend features our two-bedroom layout sleeping up to nine. All have a view of Fall River Reservoir and the beautiful tall grass prairie! Please use www.reserveamerica.com for reservations or contact our office. Please note these cabins do not allow smoking inside or tents outside. Heron's Cove is the only pet-friendly cabin, pet fee required.

The park offers a large playground for kids located in the Fredonia Bay area, and was recently repaired with new slides & surfacing. This facility is designed for children ages 5-12. We encourage proper use of the playground, and those children are supervised. Park benches and a gazebo have been provided for this purpose. A small playground with climber and swings are in the Quarry Bay Area.

Fall River State Park features six trails of varying lengths for your family's enjoyment. All are open to foot and bicycle traffic, two are located in the Fredonia Bay Area, and four in the Quarry Bay Area of the park. The Casner Creek Trail also takes you to the Kids Fishing Pond.

For more information, cabin or campsite reservations, contact the park office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at 620-637-2213 or visit www.reserveamerica.com.
