Vehicle Pass: All vehicles get into the park for FREE on Father’s Day (Sunday, June 20, 2010)

History: Kansas Wildscape Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to getting people outdoors in Kansas. Kansas Wildscape started the O.K. Kids Program.

Outdoor Kansas for Kids (O.K. Kids) is a program geared toward getting kids outdoors and having fun. The first year of the program was 2001, and was limited to a single day of activities at every Kansas State Park. Each site decides the

activities for the program. Events are FREE to all youth participants.

Kansas Wildscape has added a new program called Wildlifer Challenge. The program encourages parents and children to be outdoors by using an interactive, web-based program. This program challenges the children to accomplish 15 outdoor “WildLifer” challenges. To find out more information about the programs Kansas Wildscape offers go to http://www.kansaswildscape.org/.

Join Us! Cook-Out, Kids Fishing Derby, Old Fashioned Games (3 Legged Race, Gunny Sack Race, Tug of War, Egg Toss & others), Scavenger Hunt, Archery & Soccer.

Activities & Times:

Cook-Out: 1 pm – 2 pm

Kids Fishing Derby: 2 pm – 4 pm

Scavenger Hunt: 2 pm

Old Fashioned Games: 3 pm

Archery: 4 pm

Soccer: 5 pm (Kids vs. Parents)

Award/Prize Presentation: 5:45 pm at the Amphitheatre (by Shelter #3)
