Open Park Night! Milky Way Viewing!  Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park! Saturday, September 4th, 2021

Reservations are NOT required if you are coming out for the Open Park Night portion of the evening for you to hike trails in the dark at your leisure or to hang out in the parking lot for the dark skies/Milky Way viewing. Reservations are only required for the 6:30pm Sunset Photo Excursion and the 9:00pm Milky Way Photo Excursion.

Join us for an evening of sunset and Milky Way viewing at Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park!

*Gate will remain open after sunset hours! Bring blankets, bug spray, lawn chairs, cameras, binoculars, and a picnic!

*For an Off-Trail Sunset photo opportunity, meet at The Ramada Overlook at 6:30pm.  Reservations required. An email confirmations will be sent confirming space is still available. This is not a true off trail hike. The group will go to a variety location and set up for photos. Space is limited for the photo opportunity! Please email to save a spot!

*For an Off Trail Milky Way photography excursion, meet at The Ramada Overlook at 9:00pm. Reservation required. An email confirmations will be sent confirming space is still available. This is not a true off trail hike. The group will go to a variety of locations and set up for photos. Bring those tripods for long exposures! Space is limited for the photo opportunity! Please email to save a spot!

*Please Note* My days off are Wednesday and Thursdays, so you will not receive a same day confirmation of available space on either of those days. Email confirmations will not be returned until after 2pm on Fridays!

*Access to parking lot, trails, overlooks, and grassy area north of parking lot for Milky Way viewing. No Off Trail access for Milky Way viewing if you are not part of the two tour options.

*Gate will officially close at 1:30 AM!          No Camping allowed at Little Jerusalem!!

*$5 vehicle pass or annual vehicle pass is required! Permits can be purchased on site at the Self Pay station at the park entrance. There is no office! Exact cash or check only. Permits can also be purchased online at ksoutdoors.com. You MUST print the receipt to put in your window!
