Register: Please email Sara Kay at sarakay.carrell@ks.gov  Space will be limited to about 30-35 adventurous wildflower seekers!!!

Fee: The wildflower excursion and off trail adventure itself is free. But please remember that it is still necessary to have an annual KS State Park vehicle pass or a daily vehicle pass!! Daily vehicle passes can be purchased at the self pay station for $5 (cash or check or credit card if the machine is working!)

Bring your flower books, adventurous spirits, and your wildflower ID skills! Plan to wear clothing appropriate for walking about in the grass and brush and on uneven terrains.  Bring a snack to have in the parking lot on the tailgates and picnic tables!!!

Tis the season for the ticks and chiggers, so bring your preferred insect repellent!

We will explore the trails and we will explore off the trail. DO NOT go off the trail unless you are in the group with the State Park Naturalist!

After the Little Jerusalem excursion, if time and energy remains, there might be some exploration time for wildflowers at Historic Lake Scott. Explore with caution at Lake Scott, as poison ivy is abundant in many areas. The hiking trail at Lake Scott is the safest place to explore for Lake Scott wildflowers.

Please remember that an annual vehicle pass or a daily vehicle pass are necessary to enter the park. There is a SELF PAY station available at LJBSP. Cash or check only. No change is available. If you do not have an annual pass, the daily vehicle fee is $5.00 per vehicle. Day passes are valid at both parks if you choose to adventure to Lake Scott!

**Hikes will be cancelled by inclement weather!** If it is snowing, blizzarding, freezing rain, raining, lightning, or any other unsafe weather brought on by Mother Nature, all activities will be canceled at Little Jerusalem. Scott City and Oakley are the closest towns to search for weather on National Weather Service. Please call the Historic Lake Scott office for the latest update on weather cancellations, 620-872-2061
