LOVEWELL STATE PARK NEWS, NOTES AND HAPPENINGS!! Updated weekly.

Lovewell State Park office hours are Monday thru Friday 8am to 4:30pm. The state park office will be closed Monday thru Wednesday, April 22nd to 24th. Summer season office schedule will begin on Thursday April 25th, with office hours of 8am to 4:30pm 7 days a week.  

In addition to the Walleye Point and South Willow Utility Campgrounds, Cottonwood Utility Campground and Shower/Restroom Facility are now open for the season! Cedar Point and North Willow Campgrounds and Shower/Restroom facilities should be opening next week. 

Lovewell Marina has opened for the season!  Current hours are 8am - 2pm Monday thru Thursday; 8am to 8pm Friday and Saturday, and 8am to 7pm Sunday. They will be closed Easter Sunday. Menu items include wings and fries, pizza, and grill options. Fishing licenses and park permits can also be purchased online. Other options for purchase of your hunting or fishing license are:

Kansas Hunting and Fishing licenses are now sold on a 365 format, meaning those licenses are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. Annual Park Permits are still valid for the calendar year.  Customers who purchase an Annual or 14Day Camping permit receive a $10 per-night discount on any standard campsite (excluding cabins). Utility fees still apply as necessary.

Camping Cabin reservations are available up to 364 days in advance. 2019 campsite reservations for the Walleye Point, Cottonwood, and North Willow Utility Campgrounds are available April thru September at www.reserveamerica.com, or by calling the office during business hours. Remember, Kansas residents can purchase their Annual Park Passport at a reduced rate with vehicle registration at the courthouse!

Frontier, Pioneer, Pine Ridge and Sunrise Camping Cabins are designated as a "PET FRIENDLY" cabin. Customers who wish to bring their pets for their stay at these Camping Cabins will need to choose the "Pet Friendly" option on the online reservation page (or request it during a telephone reservation), and pay an add'l fee of $50.00. All other cabins remain as "No Pets Allowed". Pets must be kept outside in a kennel or on a secured chain or leash.
