In recognition of National Trails Day, the Anderson County Hospital Auxiliary and The Friends of the Prairie Spirit Rail Trail in coordination with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism are sponsoring a short ride in golf carts on the Prairie Spirit Rail Trail for individuals with physical challenges to provide them exposure to nature and enjoyment of the trail on Thursday, June 6, 2019.   The rides in the golf cart caravan will begin at the parking lot behind the Garnett Elementary School, and will proceed across the Pottawatomie Creek Bridge, turn around and return to the grade school parking lot. There will be approximately 12 golf carts available.  Individuals wanting to ride need to be able to transfer safely in and out of the golf carts.  If you are interested in participating on the rides advance reservations must be made.  For reservations and if you have any questions please contact Ruth Theis by June 1, 2019 at 785-448-3639.
